Castelo Adventures: Margarita Crawl

A little late BUT I wanted to be consistent with posting our weekend adventures. I don't know when I'll be comfortable enough to vlog. It's on my goal list this year, though! I promise I will make an effort. Pinky swear.

In the meantime, pictures and descriptions will have to suffice. You can also follow me on snapchat for [mostly] daily updates! [mrsstephcastelo]

A few weeks ago during drinks, tacos and empanadas- a friend and I came up with a brilliant idea. Margarita Crawl! We live in the heart of Texas so it only seemed logic. Why had we not done this before?!

Prior to our outing, we had a narrowed down list of restaurants we wanted to visit. We would try their best margarita, snack on yummy Mexican food and chat away with friends. We didn't want anyone to worry about driving so we had a party bus haul us around. If you live in the Austin and surrounding area check out THUNDERDOME PARTY BUS. The guys operating this party on wheels are great! Contact them for your future party or special occasion...you will not be disappointed!

Our first stop was Curra's Grill. We were told their avocado margaritas were their best. Order up!

The Mr. and I shared their Al Pastor Platter as well. The tacos were pretty large and plenty enough for us two. Homemade tortillas!! You guys their avocado marg was reallllly good. Like smoothie good. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

Our 2nd stop was El Alma. Now, I've been here once before and loved everything we ordered. I knew off the bat that I would not be disappointed. According to staff their best margarita is the Chilanga. I can confirm.

We went during their happy hour, which is daily from 3pm-6pm. Chilangas are only $7! As you can see...it was a favorite amongst us all. I give this one a 10. Yes. A 10. It's that good.

Last stop of the day was Takoba. Again, I've been to Takoba many of multiple times...I knew their food would not disappoint. I've never tried their margarita so I didn't know what to expect. It was okay. Not my favorite drink on their menu. Total blogger fail...I didn't even get a picture of their margarita [insert crying emoji]. I can say that they have the best restaurant pozole I've ever had. EVER.  Their tacos are pretty tasty too.

Best margarita of the day was from El Alma. Food, clearly, was the pozole from Takoba. It was such a great day with good drinks, food and friendly chats.

If you're from the Austin area,  I'd love to hear where your favorite margarita is from! If you've been to any of the yummy places we visited, what are your thoughts? Any drink or food favorites?
