Sore for days!

I hope you find yourself having a great Friday! I [and my little family] are anxious to get our weekend started! A couple of weekends ago, we drove out to Nashville for a soccer game...this weekend we drive some more to yet another game.

We love road trips and it just so happens that this soccer match will be a lot closer. USA vs Costa Rica will be taking place in Dallas this Saturday and the 3 hour drive from our home was a no-brainier. We're off to Dallas for the weekend!

I want to start sharing more of our weekends with all you beauties [beauts, you too!]. Next week I'll be launching the first post to this new weekly feature. If you find yourself in a stump today or this weekend or any day for that matter, look no further, I have a fun activity for you to spend a couple of hours doing. Bouldering [a form of rock climbing without the use of harnesses and/or ropes]. Yes, you heard correctly.

Last weekend we visited the Austin Bouldering Project. I didn't know what to expect really. I'm a big weenie when it comes to heights so, not gonna lie, I was a bit nervous. Terrified. Same thing. You guys, it was so fun!!

The climbing arenas [is that what they're called?] are colored coordinated for levels of difficulty. M and I stuck to the yellow and red colors. We found these to be the easiest. Remember, bouldering is without a harness or rope, lucky for everyone-the entire gym floor is a giant soft pad. No need to worry about it hurting if you fall. Which is very likely to happen!

I worked through my fear of heights and made it to the top! My heart was racing the entire time. I figured I had 2 choices...give up and fall OR push my way to the top. I was too afraid to fall since looking down was no good on my end. Up I went. I felt such an accomplishment getting to the top!

ABP is open 7 days a week. They offer membership rates as well, so if you see yourself going plenty of times during the week that may be a better option for you. They offer gym and fitness classes too! All part of the daily rate + membership fee. Only equipment you need are climbing shoes and you can rent those there for $4/day.

This place is amazing! We will definitely be frequent visitors. I hope to move to other climbing colors in the future, too! Have you been to Austin Bouldering Project? Check it out if you haven't!
